Hi- There is fear among people to return to vaccination centers because of of the recent surge in Covid cases. Any suggestions or observations? Nupur
This fear is not baseless. People are panicking this time much more than the previous year as they perceive serious flaws in the health management system. Many people feel, they are on their own if something goes wrong, hence the hesitation. Mr Prusty, at other platforms, has prescribed a list of activities which could be performed by the CSOs to complement the governments’ activities. I think, we need to work on them in whichever way we can.

Thank you. @nmprusty please share your suggestions here too. Thanks
The reasons for fear as I perceived through my visit to the Vaccination Center;
- Unsure of the vaccine efficacy
- Unsure of vaccine side effects
- Dilemma; if vaccine is no insurance to covid19 why take it ?
- Unsure if they will be able to get the vaccination done as they don’t understand to use of the Cowin App
- Scared of the crowd and the squabble around at the vaccination center.
- Unsure if co-morbidity will allow vaccination, Unsure if anyone will be to advise on the co-morbidity issue at the vaccination center
- Unsure the gap between the two vaccination doses
- Scare of getting the wrong vaccine injected
- Worried about the need for medicines and costs there of to manage the vaccination side effects
- Unsure if one will get free medicines at the vaccination center
- Worried as to where to go if something happens while taking vaccination
